Lori Cohen Memorial 5K Trail

Dr. Lori Ellen Cohen passed away October 4, 2014, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer at the age of 56. Upon her passing, Lori established the Lori Cohen Charitable Trust to improve the arts and trails community of the Colorado Springs area as her legacy.

Lori grew up in New Hyde Park, New York and graduated from the Palmer College of Chiropractic Medicine in Davenport, Iowa. Soon after graduation Lori's love of life landed her in Colorado. Dr. Cohen practiced chiropractic and holistic healthcare at her Uintah Family Chiropractic Clinic for over 30 years. Lori's passion for life included running and hiking the trails around Pulpit Rock, skiing the mountains of Colorado and her dog Bodhi.

The Lori Cohen Charitable Trust improves trails throughout the Colorado Springs community, punctuated with benches with the inscription "What a Perfect Day", her favorite expression. Dr. Cohen's legacy lives on at UCCS with the creation of the Lori Cohen Memorial Trail and the Cohen Endowment to maintain the trail and her legacy in perpetuity. Enjoy the view. Thank you Lori!
