To purchase a membership, please stop by Campus Recreation Guest Services Desk to complete membership registration and process payment. Campus Recreation accepts cash, check, or credit card (Mastercard/Visa).
Please note the following important information:
- Membership eligible parties other than students and faculty/staff must present an official UCCS Campus Recreation membership identification card to gain access to our facilities. A card will be provided to you during membership registration.
- Broken, damaged or illegible identification cards will not be accepted.
- You may also utilize the mobile ID/barcode feature on the UCCS Campus Rec or UCCS Experience apps on your mobile device.
All UCCS Alumni interested in obtaining a membership at Campus Recreation will need to present their Alumni Association membership card to the Guest Services desk as confirmation of graduation from UCCS. To obtain an Alumni Association membership card, please fill out this form on the Alumni Association website. You will receive your Alumni Association membership card in the mail after you've submitted the form. For additional information regarding Alumni status, visit the Alumni website at uccs.edu/alumni.

Campus Recreation staff utilize, and also provide members with hand sized towels to clean and sanitize the facility, activity areas and fitness equipment. Campus Recreation does not provide, and highly encourages members to bring their own towels to wipe sweat and utilize for pool purposes.

Affiliate
An affiliate is a spouse, dependent (qualifies under IRS guidelines as a legal dependent) or domestic partner of a current UCCS student, staff, faculty, retiree, associate, or UCCS alumni, as evidenced by a signed affidavit, marriage license/certificate, joint tax return(s), proof of joint bank account or a lease with the same residence. City of Colorado Springs Common Law Marriage registration is also accepted.
Alumni Association Member
An Alumni Association Member is a person who is a current member of the UCCS Alumni Association, as evidenced by an Alumni Association membership card.
Associate
An associate is an employee or CU student (enrolled in classes or in the case of Summer enrolled for Fall Semester), specified organizations or governmental agencies that are housed on UCCS campuses and provide support, teaching, research, or funding for UCCS programs (i.e. Theatreworks, Summer Event Services Interns, Associate Researcher, ROTC, Audit Students, Faculty/Staff of CU Denver, Boulder, Anschutz, and System, and residents of the Eagle Rock Neighborhood.
Business Day
A business day is a day in which Campus Recreation facilities are open for access.
Dependent
A dependent is child under that age of 26 who qualifies under IRS guidelines as a legal dependent. Note, a dependent qualifies under the eligibility of an affiliate definition.
Extended Semester Student
An extended semester student is a student who was enrolled in classes paying the student recreation center bond fees the previous semester (or in the case of Fall application, the previous spring semester), as evidenced by the Registrar/Bursar Office.
Family
A family is two adults, which one is an eligible member, and two dependents, 17 and under, who live at the same residential address as evidenced by a signed affidavit.
Faculty
Faculty is anyone filling a regular, courtesy, temporary, affiliate, emeritus, international visitor position, or retiree status at UCCS, as evidenced by UCCS Human Resources.
General Public
The general public is that group of people who have no formal relationship with the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.
Member
A member is any person who holds a current Campus Recreation membership, which was purchased directly or through student recreation center bond fees, as evidenced by receipt or current Fusion Software data.
Membership
Membership is a purchased relationship status with the Campus Recreation Department for a continuous block of business days between specified beginning and ending dates.
UCCS Community
The UCCS community (aka non-member) is that population with a formal relationship with the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, as evidenced by a UCCS ID card or UCCS Alumni status. This includes pre-enrolled and extended semester students.
UCCSConnect
UCCSConnect (Online) is a student who takes all of their classes electronically, and either does pay (Colorado resident) or does not pay (non-resident of Colorado) the student recreation center bond fees.
Pass
A pass is a purchased relationship status with the Campus Recreation Department for a countable number of days between specified beginning and ending dates.
Pre-Enrolled Student
A pre-enrolled student has been admitted to UCCS and has registered for classes for the next semester.
Sponsor
To sponsor a guest means using one’s own Campus Recreation relationship status to leverage access for a guest.
Student
A student is any person who is currently enrolled in UCCS classes and currently pays student recreation center fees (on-site or on-line). This includes undergraduate, graduate, professional, online education, and dual-enrolled persons.
Staff
Staff is anyone filling a classified or unclassified position or retiree from UCCS, as evidenced by UCCS Human Resources.
Convenient (free) parking is available near Alpine Field and the Recreation Center via parking lot 540. If using this lot, please remember to register for your free parking permit - for more information visit Parking & Transportation Services website.
- There is also an Event Alpine Garage Parking Permit available Parking Services: Valid anytime Mon-Thu after 4:15pm and anytime on Fridays in Green (Alpine Garage) levels 1,2, 3 & 4 and Purple (500 series) lots. Not valid in the visitor section of level 1. Visit the Parking & Transportation Services website to obtain additional information and to purchase.
Except in pre-defined, special circumstances (see below), membership and access purchases are non-refundable.
Note: When the customer opts for payroll deduction, no refund will be considered until total payments deducted exceed the value of benefits already realized.
Special circumstances, as follow, may justify an exception to the general rule of refund:
- Medical issues which render the person unable to participate
- Leaving the university
- Emergency situations for the participant or family members involving sickness, broken bones, car accident, hospitalization, etc.
- A note signed by the area coordinator asking for refund, naming the affected person, and explaining the specific circumstance.
Note, coordinators will submit to Associate Director for review prior to approval.
Additional Conditions:
Within the same business day, if a customer changes their mind about purchasing a membership, an activity, a contract, or a service and they do not realize the benefit within that day, a full refund will be awarded without penalty or processing fee ($5).
Payroll deduction memberships can be cancelled by providing a 30-day written notice to the Manager of Membership and Marketing at recmemb@uccs.edu.
