Facility Access, Activities, and Programs FAQ
UCCS Campus Recreation Facilities, Programs, and Services Update March 2022
Beginning Monday, March 7, 2022, until further notice, here’s what to expect:
- All UCCS students, faculty, staff, members, affiliates, and associates as well as non-members will be required to scan in and out of the Recreation Center for contact tracing purposes, utilizing their UCCS credentials or the UCCS Campus Rec app, membership card, or sign-in as a non-member.
- Our Campus Recreation team members will continue to perform thorough sanitization cleaning cycles every 90 minutes throughout the day and after equipment is utilized. All Campus Recreation team members will no longer be required to wear a mask. Campus Recreation team members may choose to continue to wear a mask while working indoors.
- All guests will no longer be required to wear a mask upon entry to the Recreation Center and while observing recreation activities.
- All students, members, and guests may choose to continue to wear a mask (KN-95 or surgical highly recommended) while participating or observing in all recreation activities and spaces. If you are not fully vaccinated, are considered high-risk, or have people in your household who are high-risk, please continue to follow appropriate precautions as recommended by the CDC.
- All outdoor activities do not require masks for staff and participants.
- Guests can view a live tracker of our current facility occupancy by visiting campusrec.uccs.edu/FacilityOccupancy. Guests can also view the current facility occupancy on our app by clicking on the “Facility Occupancy Counter” icon.
- Equipment check-out is offered at the Recreation & Wellness Center Guest Services Desk (font desk).

- SOLE Center:
- SOLE programs are permitted to travel.
- Please refer to CDC travel guidance and CDC quarantine and isolation guidance.
- Consideration needs to be made based on the destination and whether that county/location is experiencing a significant increase in volume of COVID cases and associated COVID guidance/restrictions.
- All SOLE travel must be pre-approved by the Campus Recreation Director or their designee.
- Use of UCCS motor pool, Enterprise Corporation (state contract) and personal vehicles is permissible for SOLE travel. When traveling, it is recommended to lower all windows (if temperatures allow) in the vehicle to allow for air to circulate through/out the vehicle.
- Travel rosters of participation shall be maintained by SOLE Staff for contact tracing purposes.
- SOLE programs are permitted to travel.
- Sports (Intramural and Club Sports):
- Club Sports are permitted to travel. Please refer to CDC travel guidance and CDC quarantine and isolation guidance.
- Consideration needs to be made based on the destination and whether that county/location is experiencing a significant increase in volume of COVID cases and associated COVID guidance/restrictions.
- All club sport travel must be pre-approved by the Campus Recreation Director or their designee.
- Use of UCCS motor pool, Enterprise Corporation (state contract) and personal vehicles is permissible for club sports travel. When traveling, it is recommended to lower all windows (if temperatures allow) in the vehicle to allow for air to circulate through/out the vehicle.
- Travel, game, and practice rosters of participation shall be maintained by club officers for contact tracing purposes.
