Psychological and Cognitive Testing

At the Wellness Center we administer psychological and cognitive tests to be able to provide formal diagnoses, establish disabilities for appropriate accommodations, and/or to provide guiding information for treatment.

We offer testing services to evaluate for:

  • Attention deficits, processing speed deficits, and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Specific Learning Disorders
  • Personality assessments
  • Clinical Anxiety screens
  • Clinical Depression screens

We do not offer testing for intellectual developmental disorders (Down Syndrome, Fragile X, etc.). We also do not provide testing for cognitive impairments related to seizures, traumatic brain injuries, brain tumors, brain surgery, dementia, vascular disease, Autism Spectrum Disorder, or other neurocognitive disorders. We recommend that students with these conditions seek neuropsychological testing with a community provider.

At the Wellness Center, we strive to keep our testing costs low. However, we do not accept medical insurance. It is important to note we do have a wait list for testing services, which could delay how quickly one can get a testing appointment. Also, we cannot offer this service to students who do not reside in Colorado. Call Mental Health Services at 719-255-4444 for further information about our testing services or for a list of preferred community testing providers.
