Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Each April, in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), departments across the UCCS campus come together to raise awareness, provide education, and foster a supportive environment for the community. This month serves as a vital opportunity to remind students, faculty, and staff of available resources, reporting options, and actionable steps we can take to prevent sexual assault. Additionally, it highlights ways to support survivors and promote a culture of respect and consent.

Throughout the month, UCCS hosts a series of on-campus events designed to shed light on the prevalence of sexual assault and empower individuals with knowledge on prevention, intervention, and support.
